Glacial Slip
Beta SP, 13 minutes, 2003, collaboration with Rae Davis

A pile-up of images—including ice skaters, snowfall in the woods, Nijinsky, dervishes, snatches of Eisenstein, traffic, an avalanche, a dripping faucet—alternates with images of eyes as they listen to a voice describing a devastating medical diagnosis. The build-up of pressure, corresponding to the process of a glacial slip, results in a crucial moment of explosive movement.
